Bernadette Thomas
Bernadette’s administrative career has spanned over 20+ years at the University of Arizona (UA). Following a hiatus of nine years from UA (2014-2023) during which time she lived and worked in Phoenix, Colorado Springs, and England, she has returned to Tucson. In October 2023, she began her current position as Executive Assistant to Dr. Lehman Benson III, Vice-President, Black Advancement and Engagement (BAE). She is delighted to be back on campus, to be working with Dr. Benson and his team, and helping to grow this new BAE initiative established by Dr. Robert C. Robbins in 2022. She brings with her personal experience of working with culturally diverse, socioeconomic communities having lived in Ireland, England, Spain, and the United States.
Bernadette earned her Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from UA and her Master of Arts in administration from Northern Arizona University.
